The Essential Kajabi Pages for a Successful Summit
As someone who's hosted and managed multiple summits, I can tell you that one of the most critical aspects of running a successful online event is the structure and flow of your Kajabi pages*. Each page plays a distinct role in guiding your audience through the summit experience, from registration to post-event engagement. Ensuring everything is set up and connected correctly can happen only if you know what your 'inventory' is. So let’s break down the key pages you'll need and why they matter on your site when hosting a summit.
1. Registration Page
Your registration page is the gateway to your summit. It's where your potential attendees first learn about the event and decide whether to sign up. This page needs to be compelling, visually appealing, and informative. If your summit is a ticketed event, this page should also have a sales component, clearly outlining the benefits of attending and the value of your summit and what attendees can expect from the summit and its speakers. Highlight your key speakers, the topics covered, and any bonuses or incentives for early registration.
Tip: Use testimonials or past success stories to build credibility and trust. A clear call to action (CTA) is essential—make sure it’s easy for visitors to register with just a few clicks.
Pro Tip: if you want to buy a registration template or have us build you a custom page feel free to get in touch.
2. Speaker Pages
There are two main approaches for showcasing your speakers. You can either create dedicated sections on your registration page or build specific landing pages for each speaker. If you opt for sections on the registration page, you'll need to work within the design constraints. If you do not follow a template for each speaker this may impact readability and the overall user experience.
On the other hand, individual speaker pages allow for more detailed presentations but require more clicks, which could affect user engagement. Regardless of the method you choose, these speaker pages should feature bios, headshots, presentation title and a summary of each speaker's summit presentation.
Tip: Speaker pages used as blog posts are a great opportunity to build excitement and anticipation. Make sure these pages are visually consistent with the rest of your summit branding.
3. Thank You Page
After someone registers for your summit, they should be immediately redirected to a thank you page. This page not only confirms their registration but also offers an order bump option—an additional offer that complements their registration. This could be an exclusive access pass, a discounted product, or any other valuable offer that enhances their summit experience.
Tip: Use this page to encourage attendees to share the summit with their networks, offering a referral bonus or incentive if possible.
4. Sales Page for Post-Summit Product
Once your summit is over, you want to keep the momentum going. A dedicated sales page for a product or service related to the summit is crucial. This could be a more in-depth course, or a membership. This page should remind attendees of the value they received during the summit and how they can continue their journey with your offerings.
5. Pre-Recorded Content Pages
Depending on your summit format, you might have pre-recorded sessions. These can be delivered in a product format, through landing pages, or as permission-based pages that only those with access can view. If you’re using Kajabi’s member-only features, make sure that only registered attendees can access this content.
Tip: Drip content over time to keep attendees engaged or release it all at once—decide based on your audience’s preferences.
6. VIP Member-Only Pages
If your summit includes exclusive content, VIP member-only pages are essential. These pages are only accessible to those who have taken advantage of the one-time upgrade offer. Use these pages to host premium content, additional resources, or ongoing training sessions that attendees can access long after the summit ends.
Tip: VIP member-only pages are also a great way to build a community. Encourage interaction through comments or discussion boards.
7. Exhibit Pages or Sponsor Pages
If you have sponsors or exhibitors for your summit, dedicated pages for them are a must. These pages should highlight the sponsors, explain their role in the summit, and provide any special offers or content they’ve contributed. It’s not just about promotion—it’s about adding value to your attendees by connecting them with trusted brands and services.
Tip: Include clear CTAs that direct attendees to the sponsors’ websites or offers. This can also be a revenue stream if sponsors pay for placement.
8. Redirection Pages
Finally, redirection pages are necessary for managing content availability. Once a session or piece of content is no longer available, redirect attendees to a page that either explains the next steps (like purchasing access to recordings) or guides them to other relevant content. This helps maintain a professional experience and keeps attendees engaged with your brand even after the summit content is no longer available.
Tip: Use these pages to upsell or offer additional resources to keep your audience within your ecosystem.
